Underworld: AwakeningThe most recent movie in the Underworld series did a good job of distracting me from my Con crud cold. They definitely left it open at the end to make another, and I would watch that one too. |

Game of Thrones: Season 1Completed Season 1 this week. Outside of some character’s storylines being revealed earlier in the show than in the book (I assume for balance in the new medium?), all was basically as I remembered it happening. Grant had not started the book before watching the show, so I repeatedly had to hold myself back from chatting about something that could reveal some upcoming storyline tidbit. 😉 – finished disk 5 |

True Blood: Season 4Finished Season 4 this week. I like how they started working in more of the storylines from the books. I can’t wait for Season 5! – finished disk 5 |

Hell on Wheels: Season 1I think I fell asleep part way through the Pilot, but I was watching in bed and that was the point. I could tell right away that this show would be right up my ally. I really like what I’ve seen so far. 🙂 I must have been super tired to fall asleep during something this interesting. Vampire HighThis one is solidly in the Bedtime Fodder category. I was laughing at how corny it was in the beginning, but it has grown on me a little. Interestingly, key elements of the Vampire Diaries, Vampire Knight, and Twilight series seem to be borrowed from this earlier TV show from the aughts. Whether they are original concepts to Vampire High, I do not know. (I have not yet read the Vampire Diaries books from the 90s, so it’s possible Vampire High is doing the borrowing here.) – Season 1, Episodes 1-12 |
